Open Season UGS Grijpskerk

NAM is offering the full bundled storage capacity of UGS Grijpskerk for the contract year 1 April 2026 – 1 April 2027. UGS Grijpskerk is one of the largest underground gas storage facilities in the Netherlands. For the upcoming contract year, market participants can apply for capacity at UGS Grijpskerk. Due to technical constraints the UGS can be contracted by one party. Capacity will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Contract Year: 1 April 2026 – 1 April 2027

How to Participate

Parties interested is becoming a customer can follow a clear process:

  1. Review the UGS information
    NAM provides information about the UGS at the NAM website, see downloads at the bottom of this page.
  2. Get in touch
    Contact NAM NAM-UGS@shell.com to express your interest.
  3. Sign an NDA
    To receive confidential information, prospective Customers sign the Standard UGS Non‑Disclosure Agreement with NAM and provide key KYC company data.
  4. Further Information exchange
    Prospective Customers meet with NAM for a clarification meeting and receive further technical and commercial information regarding the use of the UGS.
  5. Submit an Expression of Interest
    Confirm your interest in UGS Grijpskerk.
  6. Agree on the Standard UGS Service Contract
    Prospective Customer enters into the Standard UGS Storage Agreement.
  7. Implement Operational & ICT Interfaces
    Work jointly with NAM to set up all operational and communication connections.

Important Notes

  • NAM reserves the right to change or withdraw the storage services offer at any time.
  • NAM will request KYC data as part of the process and reserves the right to refuse a prospective customer if such party cannot demonstrate to possess sufficient operational or financial capacities to use the UGS.
  • NAM reserves the right to adjust the process and request additional information if so required to ensure a non-discriminatory and transparent allocation of the capacity in the UGS.
